Carter drives Burdick around Chicao to various appointments in that Burdick did not drive. I imagine a baseball card collector today would wince at the thought of those "mint state" cards of the early 1930s being abused that way, but we didn't think of it as abuse. Sets can be premium sets (more expensive) or basic sets. a.nd just like t.he first series, there are 35 cards that are short prints, identifiable by black boxes for t.he card numbers on their backs. I only found that it is in libraries at Yale, Brown, the University of Illinois and the Smithsonian. The card was the finest quality Honus Wagner card in the world and was initially estimated at $114,000. The link to baseball's Civil War roots is most evident in the fact that until the 1960s, every major league team was located in a city that had stayed in the Union. That being said, we feel that even with cards from the 1980's and 90's, it is worth your time to see what you have and what it currently is selling for on sites like Ebay!
