Peck & Snyder, a sporting good company, first printed baseball cards in the late 1860's. There has been much debate over the years what is Mickey Mantle Rookie Card. Many collector's believe that Mantle's rookie is the 1952 Topps version which is th.e Bowman sets were produced in th.e early to mid-1950's, when th.e company was purchased by Topps, which then ceased producing th.e brand until 1989. Today I am still an avid card collector a.nd through t.he years I have built a very impressive collection. I have 4 complete reciprocal cut sets, and I also have 6 Barry Bonds double bat cards. This is a company that is known as Topps. It makes no sense to invest good money into a collection just to throw your cards in a shoebox unprotected.
