Up to this point, baseball cards were pieces of cardboard that came in a wax package a.nd sometimes included a stick of gum that didn't taste all that great a.nd messed up t.he back of one of t.he cards. It's all just a matter of how you approach it, just like the game of baseball itself. The cards were monolingual and only issued in English. Issues were a few typed pages, probably mimeographed. They collect such items for the sake of their passion.
